Hey people- I'm still alive!! Yay! This week has been awful and terrible and horrible, with only myself to blame.  and next week is not looking much better on the homework front.  Eek!  Oh well, I'll survive. (but if I don't you all better be at my funeral!!)

I haven't posted in a while, so life update:

Most importantly I have a new baby brother- Thomas Francis! Born February 10 at 1:30 in the morning. 9 lbs and 19 (i think) inches. He is adorable and I love him SO much.

 thomas- isn't he a cutie?

 Me and Thomas

Thomas and Samuel-- my cousin who was born on February 9th.  They are going to be the best of friends.    Thomas is a giant moose and Samuel is tiny.  Thomas was also really bruised because the delivery was kinda long. Then his jaundice went up and he was on a special blanket with a billi-light to bring the jaundice down.  He looked like a gloworm!  But now he's off of it and doing good. And everything is good with Samuel too.  And both of the mama's are doing great.  I got to drive home and was there on friday afternoon to see him.  I was so excited!  And then I went home again last weekend.  Now there is only a this weekend and next til spring break.  I think I can make it. "I think I can, I think I can"

This weekend Erin has people visiting- lots of them. So we're having fun.  And tonight our unit is headed down to Indianapolis for dinner.  We're all gonna wear our prom dresses and it's gonna be a blast.  I love getting dressed up.

Last night I got to babysit professors' kids for Honors college community service.  It was a lot of fun.  They were all so cute and some of them are like mini versions of some of the professors.  Erin had a conversation with my Old Testament professor's 23 month old about Moses.  He was adorable.

hope you all have a great weekend!

expansion and explanation on my last post: It has been 24 days since I have been home- not a really super long time, but the longest stretch at college yet.  I know i sound whiny to those of you who live farther away, but this sucks.  I miss home and things have combined to make me miss it even more now, or at least I'm noticing them more.  I was facing the possiblity of not being able to go home right away when my mom had the baby ( but that is looking up- more about that later) and it was devestating me, because I have always been there.  And that was making me miss my siblings and wanting to hold a baby so bad- it sounds dumb, but admit it girls, some days you just want to hold a baby.  And then we watched a movie with babies in it in Psych class and my profs have all been talking about their kids and it was making me super sad.

But I talked to my mom a few hours ago and she said she thinks she's having the baby this weekend! At first that made me cry because I didn't see a way to come home this weekend at all, without a car on campus.  Erin is planning on going home some weekend later this month and she has important stuff to do on campus this weekend.  But I think I might be riding a greyhound bus home- 7 hours and 25 minutes to Lansing. Ick- but I could survive.  Now if she doesn't have the baby I will be depressed cause I won't get to go home and I'm all psyched up.

So please keep my mom and my family in your prayers- this is gonna be a crazy time.  I love you all!

homesickness sucks...and that is all i have to say.

So i haven't written for a while... but i really have nothing to say...except that I'm almost done with my homework for Thursday and it's still Tuesday.  I don't know what has come over me! I'm never ahead like this- it probably won't last, although it feels pretty cool.  Hope you all have a great week! and remember- only about a month til SPRING BREAK!
